In Sardinian the term Oru means edge, margin, border. The collection reinterprets the traditional rug composed by a border that frames the field, reducing the elements at its minimum.

The inner ornament loses any decorative connotation becoming a noise, a disturbance given by a random alternation of Pibiones, the hallmark of Sardinian textile production.

The perimeter sits lowered to the central part, for a result of extreme underfoot comfort and to the touch.

The collection is also defined by colour, a fundamental aspect of its nature. The chromatic component is expressed on two levels. By distance, with the color blocking of the borders and the contrasting field. Up close, with an unprecedented mélange of colours perceived in the weave inside the carpet

Detail of the Pibiones technique

<<For the Oru collection the process was one of simplification. We identified the elements of recognition of the traditional rug and we  reduced them up to the archetipe>>
